AssignBoneVMaps is a plug-in for Lightwave 6.0 or greater. It adds bone-related Generic plug-ins to Layout, namely Assign Bone VMaps, Activate Bones, Deactivate Bones, Toggle Active Bones, Record Bone Pivots and Rest Bones. All of these plug-ins operate on all the selected bones, or all the bones in the selected objects.
Assign Bone VMaps automatically assigns to a bone a weight map of the same name, if one exists. It can also optionally toggle the Use Weight Maps Only and Weight Normalization features. Activate Bones simply makes the selected bones, or all bones in the selected object, active. Dectivate Bones simply makes the selected bones, or all bones in the selected object, inactive. Toggle Active Bones forces the selected bones, or all bones in the selected object, that are active to become inactive, and all inactive bones to become active. Record Bone Pivots records the pivot points for the selected bones, or all bones in the selected object. Rest Bones rests all selected bones, or all bones in the selected object. It performs this operation hierarchically, to ensure that the resting will work as expected.
