This is the normal appearance of the inside of the caot. The button strip and ribbon cable are concealed with a piece of matching cloth that veclros into place. The remote housing is stashed in it's own pocket with the iPod remote cable extending upward toward the iPod's mounting clip. Ear bud headphones run up the spine and fan out around the collar, and are held into place with velcro straps when not in use. The other end of the cable comees out of the inside of the coat and goes into the remote housing.
